Gateway to Moksh (GTM) — Kids Jain Pathshala Programme
At a glance: Started in 2019 • Pan-India since 2022 • 37 Pathshalas • 300+ teachers • Free for students
The Pathshala programme began in 2019 in Andheri, Mumbai. In 2022, it expanded across India under the name Gateway to Moksh (GTM), with the aim of creating a structured, sustainable, and outcome-oriented Jain Pathshala model.
Outcome-Oriented Programme Design
Gateway to Moksh is an outcome-oriented Pathshala model designed to help centres sustain attendance and demonstrate measurable learning. The programme addresses four key areas:
- Logistics: Fixed two-hour block with transport support to pick up and drop children (where feasible).
- Pedagogy: 40-minute periodisation with defined objectives.
- Content: Graded modules in values, Gujarati literacy, and Jain principles.
- Engagement: Parent touch-points, assessments, and certificates.
Instructional Structure (3 × 40 minutes)
- Jain Sutras: Memorisation with meaning and practical application.
- Moral Values: Age-appropriate ethics, civic sense, compassion, Satya, Asteya, Aparigraha, and Ahimsa.
- Gujarati Language: Reading, writing, and functional literacy delivered by professionally engaged Gujarati instructors.
Programme Operations
- The programme is free of charge for all students.
- Attendance, lesson plans, homework, and announcements are coordinated through a dedicated parent–teacher WhatsApp group.
Teachers & Seva
GTM Pathshalas are supported by 300+ dedicated teachers. Most offer their services honorarily as seva to Jin Shasan. A small number are supported financially when family needs require it.
